the last thing we need right now is for a Muslim to act on impulse rather than intellect and faith.

when someone is sad
but no tear falls down their face
it is not the heart that is hard
but rather they know not
how to let the tears
fall down in from of all and sundry
but in the privacy of their mind
in the darkest corner of their heart
the dam floods like there's no tomorrow.

time 4.15 p.m. place 2 setia classroom. day monday. situation break time cum tuition time (they asked for it!)

masa semakin suntuk. singkat. bisa dibilang masa yang tinggal.

sudahkah aku bersedia?
perpisahan tak pernah mudah untuk dihadapi.
berjauhan setelah lama bersama
mengadu nasib dinegeri orang
merantau mencari ilmu
dari pertiwi ke dunia baru
5 tahun suka duka kita
5 tahun tangis tawa kita

masa sudah suntuk.
masa untuk berkata selamat
masa untuk berjabat salam
masa untuk memeluk erat
selepas ini bertebaranlah dibumi Sang Khalik
mencari redha Ilahi.

Para murabbi yang memandang mutarabbi dengan pandangan seorang guru hanya dapat menghasilkan mutarabbi-mutarabbi yang banyak ilmunya tapi hatinya kaku. Tapi para murabbi yang melihat mutarabbinya dengan pandangan seorang dai'e dapat menghasilkan mutarabbi yang berfikrah mantap dan faham mengapa perlu untuk mencari ilmu, beramal dengannya dan menyebarkannya.

When i look back at what I've done a couple of years back, i understand what she meant when she say that to me. Yes we managed to impart as many knowledge as we can to our beloved akhawati. BUT we failed to touch their hearts. We failed to make them understand. We failed to make them want to do things just to please Allah. Maybe this is because we ourselves do not have such a strong understanding on how important it is to touch a person's heart. Or maybe we did not have such a strong foundation in terms of  our fikrah. Yes, that must be it. 

We had produced mutarabbis that only rely on their knowledge when they talk but deep down, they do not really understand what they were talking and the consequences of what they say and what they did. Worst of all, they might not even walk the talk. 

Ya Allah, what have i done??? 

*wiping tears*

was browsing through some news from the FB newsfeed when i ran into an ads on 'i'tikaf'.

I really, really, REALLY want to do it.

The moment most suitable for repentance, ditching bad habits for good ones, and changing attitudes and your  outlook on life is here already. in this month, the 7 skies are opened up for us to pray and beg for Allah's forgiveness and mardhatillah and for Him to bless us with His love that is beyond anything in the world. well, now is as good time as any to improve one's self as during ramadhan, the devils are tied up as well. so what's left to obstruct you from being a better Muslim is yourself because in the end, you make the call. so if the month go by without any improvement in us and on us, then we truly are in the lost. Nauzubillahi min zalik.
