when something is better left unsaid.

Alone
From childhood's hour I have not been
As others were; I have not seen
As others saw; I could not bring
My passions from a common spring.
From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow; I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone;
And all I loved, I loved alone.
Then- in my childhood, in the dawn
Of a most stormy life- was drawn
From every depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still:
From the torrent, or the fountain,
From the red cliff of the mountain,
From the sun that round me rolled
In its autumn tint of gold,
From the lightning in the sky
As it passed me flying by,
From the thunder and the storm,
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view.

it's been a long time since we last gathered. exchanging energies, stories, sad ones, happy ones. every second passes recharges our iman. just by sitting together, eating together, praying together, qiam together, laughing together, crying together.

though we're miles apart, our hearts bonded like that of an unbreakable chain. May Allah strengthen our sisterhood as He bonded the hearts of The Prophet pbuh and his companions.

Sisters in imaan are more precious than all the wealth in the world combined.

Uhibbuki fillah sisters, le al-Hawariyyun family.

Even if we can no longer gather again on this earth, may we be neighbours in the Hereafter.

Amin.

i'm not sure i'd be alive to attend my wedding, see the Kaabah with my own eyes or even teach my next class tomorrow. but what i could positively say is that, i'd die not a second longer then when my Maker decides that it's time for me to bid the world a sweet adieu.
Because if you have even an ounce of humanity left in that scarred soul of yours, you'd be ashamed of you self, your whinings and your disrespect for a human's right to live. anywhere of God's vast earth.

that's life, hey!

the perks of working in the city is that you hardly feel like taking some time off to go anywhere near mother nature at the end of the day. how could you? you're just too tired and numbed by the stress at work and the mind-numbing traffic jams to and from work that all you want to do is curl up on the bed and call it a day.

no wonder i always feel so used up only by Wednesday. Alhamdulillah i get to spend weekends away in Pahang where you'd wake up and go to bed lulled by the soft chirping of birds and the sounds of crickets from a distance away. where you could take a deep breath and in come the sweet fresh smell of lush trees and green grasses. and of course the company. where you could eat breakfast and lunch and (surprise, surprise) dinner with mom and sister. yes! a complete course of meals throughout the day. not to forget the laughter and smiles of young Aliya to cleanse your soul. just a touch of smile upon her lips could make you forget about all the jealousy and heartbreaks, stresses and angers. they just wither away like the fall of morning dew from the soft petals of hibiscuses. the innocence and pure love of a child.

p/s : i never really feel the need to use proper capital letters here. despite the fact that I'm a grammar Nazi by personality and a tea maker by profession.
